As a Client Director in Harris's Brand Performance and Experience practice in 2017-19, I designed and led strategic research engagements to answer clients' most pressing brand, innovation, and marketing questions. In addition, I co-directed a Harris R&D initiative with the goal of continually evolving the way that we understand, measure, and craft strategies around people's experiences and relationships with brands.

As a qualitative research consultant at Ipsos in 2016-17, I leveraged my background in innovation research, new product development, and business strategy in order to help companies gain insights into people's needs and motivations and design products and experiences that improve their lives. This included applying creative approaches to consumer research in order to frame strategic recommendations, as well as guiding teams in bringing insights to life by leading highly interactive, multi-disciplinary strategy workshops.

In 2016, while working as a strategist at Rapt Studio, an award-winning architecture and design studio, I have created discussion guides for client discovery sessions; researched cultural, historical, and organizational context in order to shape design plans; and written client proposals and concept briefs articulating project vision and design intent. In addition, I have helped map the internal project process, clarifying roles and creating documentation to facilitate effective collaboration within the studio.

Discovering Opportunities for Innovation: 
Nielsen Demand Advisor

Over the course of several years (2009-2014), I was responsible for developing much of the framework, analytics, deliverables, and team for the new Demand Advisor (formerly Market & Brand Advisor) offering at Nielsen. Demand Advisor is a service aimed at providing clients with an understanding of how the marketplace looks today, with an eye toward areas of opportunity to grow brands both incrementally and disruptively. My contributions to its successful launch and growth included:
  • Directed R&D efforts to define, test, and refine survey methodology and sophisticated multivariate data modeling approaches
  • Created visualization standards for client deliverables
  • Acted as the lead liaison with an external development team to automate data collection, processing, and visualization
  • Played a central role in building, training, and supporting a new team of modelers and consultants, including directly managing team members in the US, India, and Poland
  • Provided ongoing support and thought leadership for consultants as they designed projects around specific client needs
  • Contributed to a multi-generation product plan to continue to improve the service's ability to address an array of client questions

Diagnosing Paths to Optimization for New Product Concepts:
Nielsen BASES

During my time as a Diagnostic Consultant (2004-2009), I built successful relationships as a trusted in-house resource for Nielsen BASES consultants, advising on project design and statistical analytics in support of consumer testing for new concepts and products
  • Provided analytics and interpretational guidance on consumer goods innovations, with additional experience in electronic devices and video games
  • Conducted a variety of analyses, including descriptives, principal components (factor) analysis, regression, correspondence, k means clustering, multi-dimensional scaling, and discrete choice modeling
  • Managed and mentored analysts in US, India, and Mexico
